Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY is India's flagship national health insurance scheme run by the National Health Authority under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. It provides free cashless hospitalisation to economically vulnerable families at over 25,000 empanelled public and private hospitals across India. Since September 2024, all senior citizens aged 70 and above are automatically eligible regardless of income.

Rural households in SECC 2011 data (kutcha houses, landless labourers, SC/ST families, no adult male member aged 16–59, or a disabled member); urban workers in 11 occupational categories (street vendors, domestic workers, ragpickers, construction workers, etc.); and all senior citizens aged 70 and above regardless of income

How to Apply

Check Eligibility Online

Go to pmjay.gov.in → click "Am I Eligible?" in the top menu → enter your registered mobile number → verify with OTP → your name will appear if your family is in the beneficiary list.

Login to Beneficiary Portal

Visit beneficiary.nha.gov.in → log in with your Aadhaar-linked mobile OTP → search for your name using your Aadhaar number, PMJAY ID, or Family ID.

Complete e-KYC

online

Click "Get Ayushman Card" → authenticate using Aadhaar OTP sent to your registered mobile number → confirm your biometric or OTP-based e-KYC to complete registration.

Download Ayushman Card

After successful e-KYC, click "Download Card" → your Ayushman Bharat Card (PMJAY card) will be generated as a PDF — save it on your phone or print it.

Apply via Common Service Centre (offline)

Visit your nearest CSC (Jan Seva Kendra) with your Aadhaar Card and Ration Card. The CSC operator will check eligibility and generate your Ayushman Card on the spot at no cost.

Use Card at Empanelled Hospital

At an empanelled hospital, show your Ayushman Card and Aadhaar Card at the PMJAY help desk. The hospital will verify your details and admit you for cashless treatment up to ₹5 lakh per year.
