The UP Free Laptop Yojana, officially called the Swami Vivekananda Yuva Sashaktikaran Yojana, is a scheme by the Uttar Pradesh government to distribute free laptops to meritorious students who passed Class 10 or Class 12 from UP Board or other recognised boards with at least 65% marks. The scheme aims to bridge the digital divide and support higher education and digital literacy among UP youth. Laptops are distributed at district-level camps after verification.

Eligibility Criteria
Must be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh; must have passed Class 10 or Class 12 from a UP government-recognised board in the current academic year; minimum 65% marks (general category) and 55% for SC/ST students; must be enrolled in further education (Class 11/12 or college); family income and caste criteria may apply in specific rounds

Merit List Verification
offlineThe district administration prepares a merit list of eligible students. Your application is verified against UP Board records. If selected, you receive an SMS and email notification with the date and venue of laptop distribution.
Collect Laptop at Distribution Camp
offlineAttend the distribution camp at the notified district centre on the specified date with original documents (Aadhaar, marksheet, domicile certificate). Collect the laptop after biometric verification.
