How to Apply

1

Join or Form a Self Help Group (SHG)

offline

Contact your Gram Panchayat or Block Development Office (BDO) and ask about existing SHGs in your village. Join an existing SHG of 10–20 women, or form a new group of at least 10 women from BPL/near-poor households. The SHG is the basic unit for all NRLM benefits.

2

SHG Registration with SRLM

offline

The SHG opens a savings bank account and maintains a group passbook with monthly savings records. After 3–6 months of regular meetings and savings, the Community Resource Person (CRP) or SRLM mobilizer registers the SHG on nrlm.gov.in and links it to the cluster federation.

3

Receive Revolving Fund

offline

After 6 months of consistent savings and grading by the SRLM, the SHG receives a Revolving Fund of ₹15,000 from the government. This is used as internal lending among members — managed entirely by the SHG democratically.

4

Apply for Bank Linkage Loan

offline

After 6–12 months of successful SHG operation, apply for a Bank Linkage Loan (BLL) of up to ₹3 lakh per SHG (or up to ₹5 lakh for mature SHGs). Repay within 3 years at 7% interest with 3% interest subvention for timely repayment.

5

Access Livelihood Support

offline

SRLM mobilizers conduct skill training, help access PMEGP/MUDRA for individual enterprise loans, and connect SHGs to farmer producer organizations (FPOs) and market linkages for agricultural produce, handicrafts, and other products.
