The 12-digit Universal Account Number (UAN) on the card enables workers to access government social security schemes directly without repeated registration. Key benefits include ₹2 lakh accidental death insurance (PMSBY), maternity support, Direct Benefit Transfers, and portability of benefits even when workers migrate between states.
