Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana (My Dear Sister Scheme) is a direct benefit transfer scheme launched by the Maharashtra Government on August 17, 2024 under then-CM Eknath Shinde, providing ₹1,500 per month to women aged 21–65 years with annual family income below ₹2.5 lakh. The scheme was a pre-election initiative ahead of the November 2024 Maharashtra state assembly elections. Registrations were accepted via the Nari Shakti Doot app and government service centres. As of June 2026, over 2.4 crore women are enrolled. The monthly benefit is ₹1,500, with proposals for increase being discussed in the state budget.

Eligibility Criteria
Woman aged 21–65 years; Maharashtra resident with valid domicile; annual family income below ₹2.5 lakh; must have Aadhaar-linked savings bank account; NOT eligible: women whose family owns more than 5 acres of agricultural land or 2.5 acres of irrigated land; government employees, income taxpayers, and pensioners (receiving > ₹15,000/month) are NOT eligible; women from other government schemes may also be eligible (schemes are non-exclusive)

How to Apply
Download Nari Shakti Doot App
onlineDownload the "Nari Shakti Doot" app on Android from Google Play Store → open the app → select "Apply for Ladki Bahin Yojana" → register with your Aadhaar and mobile number → complete Aadhaar OTP verification.
Apply at CSC / Anganwadi / Government Camp
offlineIf you do not have a smartphone: visit your nearest Common Service Centre (CSC), Anganwadi centre, or attend a government registration camp in your area → bring Aadhaar, bank passbook, income certificate, and domicile certificate → the CSC operator applies on your behalf at ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in → get reference number.
Fill Application Form Online
onlineOn the app or portal (ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in): fill name, Aadhaar, bank account details, family income details → upload income certificate, domicile, and Aadhaar scan → self-declare that you are not an income taxpayer or government employee → submit. The system cross-verifies with government databases.
Get Income Certificate if Needed
offlineIf you don't have a current income certificate, obtain one from the Tehsildar or Revenue Department office showing family income below ₹2.5 lakh per year → submit Aadhaar + ration card at Tehsildar office → certificate issued in 7–15 days. Without income proof, the application may remain pending.
Receive Monthly Benefit
onlineAfter document verification (4–8 weeks), ₹1,500 is credited to your Aadhaar-linked bank account by the 5th of every month. Check payment status on the Nari Shakti Doot app → "Payment History" or at ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in. For issues, call 1800-233-2573 or visit District Women and Child Development office.
