Lek Ladki Yojana (Beloved Daughter Scheme) is a girl child welfare scheme launched by the Maharashtra Government in the 2023–24 state budget for girl children born on or after January 1, 2023, in families with Yellow or Orange (BPL/lower income) ration cards. The scheme provides financial assistance in 5 stages from birth to age 18 — culminating in a one-time grant of ₹1,01,000 when the girl turns 18 years and completes her 12th standard education. Eligibility Criteria

How to Apply
Register Birth at Anganwadi (Stage 1 — ₹5,000)
offlineWithin 6 months of girl child's birth (on/after Jan 1, 2023 in a hospital), visit your nearest Anganwadi centre → submit birth certificate, hospital delivery certificate, Yellow/Orange ration card, and guardian's Aadhaar + bank passbook → Anganwadi Sevika registers the child for Stage 1 benefit → ₹5,000 transferred to guardian's account within 6–8 weeks.

Payment of ₹1,01,000 is transferred to the girl's own Aadhaar-linked bank account.
