Kisan Credit Card (KCC) is a revolving short-term credit scheme jointly managed by NABARD, RBI, and the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare to provide farmers with timely credit for crop cultivation, post-harvest expenses, and allied activities. Farmers get a credit limit of up to ₹5 lakh at an effective interest rate of just 4% per annum after government subvention. PM-Kisan beneficiaries are auto-eligible and can apply with a simplified single-page form.

How to Apply

Apply via JanSamarth Portal

Go to jansamarth.in → select "Kisan Credit Card" → log in with Aadhaar/mobile OTP → fill crop type, land area, income details → submit. Application is forwarded to your nearest eligible bank automatically.

Apply via SBI YONO App

online

If you have an SBI account: open YONO App → "Agri & Rural" → "Kisan Credit Card" → fill the digital form → bank officers verify and approve within 3–5 working days. No branch visit needed.

Apply at Bank Branch (Offline)

Visit nearest bank (SBI, Bank of Baroda, NABARD-linked banks, Cooperative banks) with Aadhaar, land records, passbook, and photo. Fill the single-page KCC form. PM Kisan beneficiaries get simplified processing.

Bank Verification

Bank verifies your land records, existing loans, and credit history. For PM-Kisan beneficiaries with loan below ₹1.6 lakh, no collateral is required. Approval typically within 2 weeks.

Receive KCC & Use

After approval, you get a KCC (debit card or passbook). Withdraw for seeds, fertilizers, equipment from approved vendors. Repay after harvest — the card auto-renews each season as long as there are no defaults.
