UP Vridhavastha Pension Yojana (Mukhyamantri Vridhavastha Samman Pension Yojana) is an old-age pension scheme of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh under the Integrated Social Security Pension Scheme (SSPY). How to Apply

Apply Online on SSPY Portal

Go to sspy-up.gov.in → click "Apply Online" under "Old Age Pension" → register with mobile number → fill the application form with personal details, Aadhaar, bank account, income, and address → upload photos and income certificate → submit. Note your application registration number.

Apply Offline at Block or District Office

Visit your Block Development Office (BDO) (rural) or District Social Welfare Office (urban) → collect old age pension application form → fill it in Hindi → attach Aadhaar, age proof, income certificate, bank passbook, photo, and domicile certificate → submit and get acknowledgement slip.

Income Certificate from Tehsildar

If you don't have one, get an income certificate from the Tehsildar (sub-divisional office). Visit with Aadhaar, ration card, and land record → Tehsildar office issues certificate within 7–15 days confirming your annual income is below the pension threshold.

Block-Level Verification

After submission, the Block Welfare Officer / Social Welfare Inspector visits or conducts office verification. They cross-check your age, income, and residence. Approved applications are forwarded to the District Social Welfare Officer who sanctions the pension.

Track Status and Receive Pension

Track your application status at sspy-up.gov.in → "Application Status" → enter application number. After approval, ₹3,000 is transferred quarterly to your Aadhaar-linked bank account via DBT. Beneficiary list is published on the portal; check if your name appears.
